Backyard Berries

Emily was really into gardening last year but we only tried flowers and plants.  She really wanted a blueberry bush this year which we now have.  We are waiting for the day we will have blueberries.  So far it's looking good.


We didn't plan to have a strawberry plant this year, however, Emily went to a Strawberry Short Cake birthday party a few weeks ago and the favors were strawberry plants.  I just loved it!  What a fantastic idea for a favor!!!!  Anyway, we planted it in Emily's garden and about a week later we got our first ripe strawberry.  Emily was so excited!!!!

And she did!  She said it was really good.  So far we've gotten two strawberries.  YUMMY!
