Tooth #2

Today Emily lost her second baby tooth.  This one was loose for a little over a week, instead of only two days, and this time our tooth fairy pillow was ready to go!!!

She said that it looked and felt so big in her mouth but it looked so little out of her mouth.  This tooth bothered her a lot and it bled a lot the day before.  She was one happy girl this morning when it finally fell out!

I Was Cleaning Out A Closet...

...Emily was doing this!

A Spa Day At Home

Emily wanted us to have a spa day at home.  We set up a make-up and glamor area and a nail salon area.  We made signs and put on some soft, relaxing spa music.  We had a lot of fun!

I got a turn at the spa too.  You should have seen my make-up!

Snow Day

Last week we finally got some snow.  This was our first snow of this winter and 2013!  Emily was beyond excited when it started snowing last night.  We had thundersnow which was really weird.  It was snowing hard and thundering and lighting!  Crazy and apparently really rare!

Emily was so happy!  No school and a friend was coming over to spend the whole day with her!

We played in the snow early.  We were out a few minutes before 8am.  We played for awhile but the snow was pretty frozen over with sleet so the girls came inside to warm up and then we went back out about 10am and found some other neighborhood friends to play with.

It was a really icy snow so building a snow man was not easy.  We kind of picked up ice blocks and put them together to get a big pile.  We did manage to make two little snowmen.  This is snow man #1.

Snowman #2!

The girls also enjoyed lots of play time inside.  They played Doc Mcstuffins, Princess Sofia, dress up, playdoh, made cookies and they watched some TV.

It was a fun snow day! We did go out and play in the snow later that afternoon too.  A week later we had a early release day because of ice. I guess it really is winter now!

Emily's Room Model Project

Emily is studying about the world, continent, country and city she lives in.  They have been talking about how they all have a lot in common as far as where they live but they all have something that is unique and special...their bedroom.  They had to make a list of the things in their room and then they were asked to make a model of their room including the things that were listed.

Here she is painting the walls.  We used paint and carpet scraps left over from her room remodel last spring.

 This is Emily's room model.

This was Callie's contribution to the project.  Thankfully, the paint was dry and it was empty except for the carpet.  I guess she was hoping it was a room for her.

Princess Tea Party

The day after Christmas we joined a few friends for a tea party at a cute little party place.  We hired Peggy Brutcher to come and take pictures! She is a friend of mine and a talented photographer. The girls were so adorable!

First they chose a dress to wear.  Guess what color Emily chose?  You guessed it PINK!  Then they got their make-up and nails done.

Then it was time for Princess Training!

Then they read a Princess book.

There were lots of rose petals.

Sweet girls!

Then it was time for tea!

What a wonderful princess tea party!

A Girl And Her Doll

Emily really does love the American Girl Doll she got from Santa.  Emily, the doll, does lots of things with us.

She eats dinner with us many nights.  She even says the blessing with us.

Emily has a fold out sofa that she loves to sleep on.  I don't think she sleeps as well on it as she does her bed so she is only allowed to sleep on it when it's not a school night.  Here she is sleeping on her sofa.  She insisted on putting Emily's bed right beside her bed.

Emily, the doll, came with us to the Noon Years Eve party.  They wore their matching dresses and Emily helped Emily with her craft.

She even came to have frozen yogurt with us one day.

Such fun!!!!!!
