Happy New Year 2013

On New Years Eve morning Emily discovered her very first loose tooth!!!!!!  She has been wanting to have a loose tooth ever since she started school and her classmates started loosing their teeth.  She had told me several other times that a tooth was loose and it never was.  Monday morning she came running up so excited saying her tooth was loose and sure enough, IT WAS!  Here she is wiggling it.  She was so excited!

Later that morning we had a Noon Years Eve party to attend!  The kids got dressed up and made New Years crowns and the girl got their make- up done.

Then it was time for a dance party!

We counted down to 12:00 (noon) and celebrated with lots of balloons.  It was a fun morning!

Later that afternoon we went to hang out with Jeff at church, he was working, and we got to watch the Greensboro Symphony rehearse.  Emily had a blast hanging out with the "crew".  Please excuse the pictures they are terrible cell phone pics.

Emily and I went home after eating pizza with everyone at church and we had our own little celebration.  This is the table Emily set up complete with the chocolate chip clock cookies we decorated.

Emily begged to stay up until midnight.  We told her that she could next year but not this year and then she begged us to wake her up at midnight.  We didn't make any promises but then we decided about 11:55 it would be fun to surprise her and wake her up to ring in the New Year with us.  She was not happy to be awake.

It was so funny!  She was back in her bed asleep at 12:01am.
