Valentine's Fun

Valentine's Day is just so much fun.  We really enjoy the crafts, the candy, the colors, the decorations and yummy treats.  This year since Emily is in preschool we had 24 Valentine's to make for her friends.  I asked Emily if she wanted to give her friends store bought cards or homemade cards.  Emily choose to make homemade.  We had fun making them but it was a lot of work for a 4 year old.  We worked on a few each night to make it a little easier.

She put a chocolate heart inside of each Valentine.

Here is one of the crafts we did at home.

Jeff had to work on Valentine's Day so that's why we celebrated on Sunday.  I had to work at church that morning and Emily had school.  When we got home that afternoon Jeff had left roses on the kitchen table for his girls!!!

Emily quickly found a place in her room for her roses.

Later we met two other mommy and daughter pairs for dinner.  Their husbands/dads were working too (they are all in production like Jeff) so we had a girls night out at Steak and Shake.  We figured it was kid-friendly and it would be an easy place to eat on Valentine's Day.

                                            We had a fun night!

Emily had her party and Valentine exchange at school but they had several children out so they weren't able to bring home on Valentine's Day (I was bummed) but she did bring them home today.  She could hardly wait to look through them!

We hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day too!
