We seem to get a visit from a leprechaun each St. Patrick's Day. This year Emily decided to build a Leprechaun Trap to see if we could catch him.
She worked hard on the design. It had lots of green, Lucky Charms cereal, a rainbow, and lots of gold shiny coins to attract the leprechaun to the box. Sofia is playing the part of the leprechaun in the picture above. The idea was that he would try to get the coin on the lid of the box and he could pull the top down and trap himself inside. The next morning Emily ran to see if we caught one. We didn't find a leprechaun but he did leave his little green jacket. She was so excited and she got to take it to school to show her class!
He took almost all the coins and cereal. He left a big mess too. There were green foot prints every where. He also turned the toilet water, bath water, and orange juice green. Silly leprechaun! Maybe we'll get him next year:)
