On Monday, Emily's class had an egg hunt at school. They each were able to find 14 eggs. The eggs were numbered 1-14. They had a check list so they could check the numbers off as they found them. They could only get one of each number. The eggs were filled with coins and candy or other treats. The kids were able to keep the treats and the money went to Backpack Beginnings, a local organization that provides food for children that are on free or reduced lunch over the weekends. They had to sort the money by pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters and they had to count.
Mission accomplished!
Emily and I made some cute "chick" cookies for the egg hunt. The kids loved them:)
