Christmas 2013

We had a wonderful Christmas!!!  Jeff's Mom and her husband came into town on Monday the 23rd.  We spent some time that afternoon making gingerbread cookies.

Everyone had fun and on Christmas Eve we moved on to sugar cookies.

Here are some ready for the oven.

Making reindeer food.

We all went to the Christmas Eve service at church.  Some good friends met us there.  This was the beautiful stage designed by Jeff.  He built the stable too!  It was beautiful!

Emily and T were looking for Baby Jesus.

When we got  home, we were tracking Santa!

He was getting closer so Emily decided to get on her PJs and get things ready for Santa.

Cookies, CHOCOLATE Milk, and an extra key in Santa's special box.  Emily always leaves a key in this box on the front porch so Santa can get in since we don't have a chimney.

Time to sprinkle the reindeer food on the lawn!

The reindeer food was out and Santa's key was on the porch and Emily was really excited for Christmas morning!

Emily and Daddy reading The Night Before Christmas, their special tradition.

Emily had to give her elf, Twinkle, a special good-bye.  She would leave to go back to the North Pole with Santa later that night.  We won't see her until next year.

Christmas morning started at 6:00am.  It was still dark outside, but Santa came!!!!!!  Emily got her Christmas wish.  Her new American Girl doll, Molly.  Molly is good friends with the AG doll Emily already had named Emily.

Mom and Dad were still pretty tired!

Jeff LOVES funnel cake and some friends gave him a funnel cake maker for Christmas. I think we may have a new Christmas morning tradition!

The grandparents arrived, Grandma and Grandpa Fran and Aba and Nana.  Emily was very ready to open presents.  Here is the tree before we started opening.

Emily made this for me and Jeff:)

Emily wanted a nutcracker that would really crack a nut.  She said she needed to crack a nut for Daddy.  Grandma gave these Nutcrackers to us.  They belonged to Emily's Great Grandmother.

Barney "opening" his present.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Emily and her dolls in their new matching PJs.

She puts them to bed every night in their new bed.

We had a very blessed and magical Christmas!!!!!!
