Kindergarten Bible Presentation

Our church presents Bibles to the kindergarten children at the end of their kindergarten year.  They do this because most children learn to read in kindergarten so they can start reading the Bible on their own.  Emily was very excited to receive her own Bible.  She has lots of little toddler Bibles and Bible story books but this is her first Bible with all the verses, as she says.

Here she is before the ceremony started.

Our church has A LOT of kindergarten children so they called their names quickly.  The children came up and got their Bible from our children's director and then they went down the line to get a hug,  high five, or hand shake from each of the wonderful kindergarten volunteers.

After they all received their Bibles they recited a verse and sang some songs.

They did a great job and Emily was so proud of her Bible.

These are two of Emily's wonderful Sunday school teachers.

These two are married and were also Emily's teachers in the crawler room.  They are amazing and Emily LOVES them!

Family picture.

This wonderful lady is our Senior Pastor's wife.  She is so sweet!  One of her granddaughters is in kindergarten too.  This wonderful lady sends Emily cards and sweet notes all the time.  She is so dear to us and I just had to get a picture of her and Emily together.

Emily has read some verses from her Bible each night since she received it.  She is very proud of it!
