Emily's 5th Birthday

Emily turned 5 on August 3rd.  It was a Friday and she was born on a Friday...pretty cool.  We had ordered balloons for her birthday and her party.  Jeff picked them up Thursday night so we could have them waiting for her when she woke up on her birthday.  We put the balloons and her gift from us in the living room.  When we heard her little feet that morning we ran to meet her in the living room and sang Happy Birthday to her.

Her big present from us was her party but we also got her a dream light unicorn she had been wanting.  The best part about this gift is that she promised that I didn't have to lay down with her while she fell asleep if she had a dream light.  So far it is working great!  This is her holding up her card which had a talking my little pony that detached from it.

She had powdered donuts for breakfast...huge treat.  Then her grandparents, who were in town from Connecticut, came over and gave her more presents.  Then they played with her while we set up the party.  They helped with set up too and also filled LOTS of water balloons for the party the next day.  They were a huge help.

Later that afternoon, it was time for blowing out candles and cupcakes!

After more party set up in the backyard we headed to Red Robin for dinner to celebrate Emily's birthday with friends.  Emily was so excited to have the wait staff sing "Happy Birthday" to her.

She found out that she liked the hot fudge on the bottom of her sundae the best:)

We had fun and were home in time for her 8:39 birthday minute kiss!  Then it was time for bed.  At 10:00 the next morning we were expecting 80+ people at our house for a birthday party!!!  Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!
