Emily came home sick from our trip. Thankfully, she felt fine at Disney but after missing 4 days of school for our vacation she had to stay home on Tuesday because she had a fever and felt terrible. She went back to school on Wednesday but I picked her up after lunch to give her a shorter day.
Thursday was Valentines Day. We started off the day with Valentine cards from Daddy. Then she went to school and passed out her Valentine cards to her friends. That was a lot of fun! Then I came back to school for lunch and a special tea. This was the only picture I managed to take all day. We were in her classroom waiting for our tea and cookies to arrive.
After school, it was an early release day, we came home to more find some more cards and candy for Valentine's Day! Emily was very happy but soon she began complaining and crying that her ear was hurting. We went to the doctor to find out she had an ear infection. By the time we left the doctor and made it to the drug store to pick up her antibiotic she was in even more pain. We had dinner plans with friends that we almost cancelled. In the end, Emily decided that she didn't want to miss dinner and a gift exchanged, so we met them for a quick dinner and then she was off to bed. She was very pitiful before she went to sleep saying that it was "the worst Valentine's Day ever" because she felt so bad. Poor baby! At least we had a great Disney trip!
